Why Jump for a Just World?
To become a JWI athlete would be an amazing experience. Doing something that I love and I the same time being able to give back to those less fortunate would be one of the greatest feelings in the world. As we all know horseback riding is a time consuming and expensive sport. Many times people become accustomed to the riding bubble and forget about all the privileges that come with the sport. JWI allows you to break away from this bubble and see a larger picture; that not every one is as fortunate as we are. The stereotypical perspective of a young rider is that she is superior and cares for no one but herself, not even her horses. Being in this industry, I have learned how false this statement is. The young women that I have come to identify with have the deepest concert for their horses and truly love to compete. However, we often get so blind sighted and focused on our riding that we forget about the misfortunes of others. Justworld offers a passage to the young riders of the industry to reconnect and give back to the outside world.
