JustWorld Celebrates Ten Years at The Hampton Classic
JustWorld International is grateful to The Hampton Classic Horse Show for being a long-term partner for the past ten years! The prestigious event marked its 41st Anniversary this year and always draws thousands of fans to the historic Bridgehampton, New York, area. Featuring one of the most extravagant social scenes of the summer season and elite equestrian athletes from around the world, the Hampton Classic offers a unique opportunity to bring JustWorld supporters together. On Wednesday, August 31, the Hampton Classic held its annual exhibitors party offering live music, refreshments, and a horseless horse show and silent auction to benefit JustWorld. The mood of the evening was light and jovial with so many people coming together to raise funds for more than 6,500 children at JustWorld projects around the globe. This year’s auction featured more than 30 items from high-end, designer jewelry to an ATV and everything in between. Always a hit, the JustWorld Horseless Horse Show kicked off with kids and parents alike cheering on competitors to give it their best for the chance at ribbons and bragging rights. More than 30 children competed in the horseless horse show and in total the night brought in over $5,000 to fund our programs in Guatemala, Cambodia and Honduras. One of JustWorld’s most dedicated partners, Longines, also generously extended an invitation to their private chalet for Ambassadors, supporters and their families to enjoy. It is always a pleasure to be able to spend time with our Ambassadors and their amazing families supporting their dreams to hear about past project trips, fun stories and what JustWorld means to them. When veteran supporters share their story and spread the passion of our projects with newer faces that is the true meaning of being a JustWorld Ambassador.JustWorld would like to thank the Hampton Classic for the opportunity to be part of such a great event and also including the organization in the ‘Jump for Charity’ initiative on Friday, September 2. The exciting competition highlighted ten riders competing for charities they were matched with, with the “winner takes all” going to the highest placing competitor. Molly Ashe-Cawley was proud to represent JustWorld with her terrific effort and while she did not take top honors this year, we look forward to cheering everyone on again next year.
