JUSTWORLD AMBASSADORS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT "ADOPT A PROJECT" CAMPAIGN JUSTWORLD AMBASSADORS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT "ADOPT A PROJECT" CAMPAIGN JUSTWORLD AMBASSADORS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT "ADOPT A PROJECT" CAMPAIGN

JustWorld International Ambassadors are continuing to show their support for the not-for-profit’s newest initiative, the ‘Adopt a Project’ campaign, by donating funds to financially support specific programs.Officially launched on June 4, the ‘Adopt a Project’ campaign allows supporters to easily get involved and choose exactly which programs they would like their donations to fund.  The campaign provides opportunities to support specific education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and leadership and cultural development programs at JustWorld’s project sites in Brazil, Cambodia, Guatemala, and Honduras.Individuals, groups and businesses can all get involved and help to provide critical operational support to JustWorld International.  It’s also a wonderful way for current JustWorld International Ambassadors to become further involved with the humanitarian organization.JustWorld International Rider Ambassador Hannah Heidegger of Chatsworth, CA, took advantage of this new opportunity by recently ‘adopting’ the Natalie Johnson Center Sports Program in Tornabé, Honduras.“I wanted to adopt the sports program in Honduras because I think being active and being involved in sports are important,” said the 15-year-old.  “I wanted kids in Honduras to have the same opportunities to experience sports like we do here in the United States.”Heidegger is no stranger to JustWorld’s work.  She has been a JustWorld Ambassador for the past three years and has been involved with various fundraising activities, including several JustWorld Horseless Horse Shows on both coasts of the United States.“I really liked how JustWorld helped third-world countries develop better sports and educational programs,” explained Heidegger of her inspiration to become a Rider Ambassador.  “I believe those are two very important things, and I wanted to be a part of making that happen."

Another JustWorld International Rider Ambassador, 16-year-old Hannah Baumann of New York, NY, also recently decided to participate in the ‘Adopt a Project’ campaign.  She, too, has been a Rider Ambassador for the past three years and can often be seen volunteering her time and talents at various JustWorld events.

“My dad went to Guatemala to see the projects with a group from JustWorld,” said Baumann, who has partially adopted the Los Patojos Children’s Clinic in Guatemala.  “He was moved by the opportunity to provide health services for these children.  We all know that good health is critically important and, once it is achieved, more opportunities become available.”She continued, “The people at JustWorld are remarkable!  They are dedicated and passionate about helping children in need, and they serve as inspiration and motivation for a great group of Ambassadors.”The remaining portion of the operating costs of the Los Patojos Children’s Clinic is still available for adoption.  The ‘Adopt a Project’ campaign offers a number of different initiatives across JustWorld’s project sites.  All are focused on enhancing and increasing JustWorld’s work in the areas of education, health, nutrition, and leadership and cultural development.Examples of projects available for adoption include the Los Patojos Uniform Program, which helps provide school uniforms for students in Jocotenango, Guatemala, for $4,000 US per year or $23 per child; the Angelworks School Supplies Program in Honduras for $16,000 US or $59 per child; or the PIO Schoolbag Supplies Program, which provides school bags filled with supplies, including pencils, notebooks and textbooks, to students in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for $20,000 US or $29 per child. To learn more about the ‘Adopt a Project’ campaign or to donate, please click on the following link, https://www.justworldinternational.org/adopt-a-project/.  Canadian, French, Swiss and American donations are all tax deductible.Founded in 2003 by Jessica Newman, JustWorld International is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization which funds life-changing nutrition, health and hygiene, education, and leadership and cultural development programs for impoverished children in Cambodia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Brazil.  There are currently more than 500 Rider and Technical Official Ambassadors representing 40 different countries, whose efforts to support JustWorld’s projects have helped raise more than $4.5 million to date.  For more information on JustWorld International, or how to support the ‘Adopt a Project’ campaign, please visit www.justworldinternational.org.
