François Besençon
Born in Switzerland, François Besençon studied Law in Geneva. In 2001 he joined Publisuisse, now Admeira, serving as a member of the Board of Directors until 2018. François is Vice-President of Communication Suisse, the umbrella association for advertising and communication. In 2014, hewas elected by the Federal Council to the Federal Media Commission (COFEM/ EMEK). In 2007, he became chairman of the board of directors of SAWI, Academy for Communication and Marketing SA, a leading Swiss training institute, which he bought in 2008 with a group of investors.
François Besençon is the co-founder and one of the main shareholders of the rental guarantee insurance company Swisscaution, sold in 2007 to a private equity fund. François is President of Maison de la Communication in Lausanne, a member of the board of directors of Lamy Expertise, a European firm specializing in technical, economic and financial expertise in real estate, industry and land, a member of the board of directors of SafeT, a subsidiary of the Bernese fire insurance group GVB, Vice-Chairman of the Foundation Board of Chaîne du Bonheur in Geneva, and a member of the Geneva Red Cross.
François founded and chaired the Jumping Longines Crans-Montana, an international 4* horse show and JustWorld Horse Show partner event. He divides his time between Geneva, Crans-Montana and London, and is married, with two children.
