(Wellington, FL) – JustWorld International is delighted to announce its partnership with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Long Island to support educational programs for vulnerable children around the world.
The partnership began earlier this year when JLR Long Island, a long-time sponsor of the Hampton Classic, hosted the Jump for JustWorld initiative during the 2021 Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY. Each time the Jaguar jump was cleared during the competition, JLR Long Island made a donation to support the education of a vulnerable child at one of JustWorld’s projects for an entire year. A grand total of $10,000 was generously donated by JLR Long Island.
Michael Levitan, JLR Long Island President, shared, “We were happy to support JustWorld, another long-time partner of the Hampton Classic. We believe the organization is doing incredible work and through JustWorld, our support is allowing children access to education and opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. We are proud to do our part to help children in need.”
Jessica Newman, JustWorld Founder and President explained, “After 18 years, JustWorld has shown that long-term change can only happen when children have access to quality education, that in turn gives them a chance to pursue a future career. Our work to support education is only possible through partnerships like this one with JLR Long Island. Their very generous donation at the Hampton Classic will provide vital education programs for youth and inspire other riders and spectators to learn more about how they can join in making a difference.”
Newman also explained that the timing of the new partnership is crucial to the JustWorld programs. “The COVID-19 crisis has added new challenges to children’s lives and exacerbated inequalities for children already living in poverty. Throughout the pandemic, JustWorld has continued to nourish the minds and bodies of children who often cannot access even the most basic necessities.” Thanks to JLR Long Island’s support, JustWorld educators continue to develop new teaching techniques, adapt to utilize available technology, and ensure essential resources are provided to the most at-risk children so that they can continue to learn and grow in a safe environment.
JustWorld International is a not-for-profit organization that provides a philanthropic avenue for equestrians, equestrian-based businesses, and their networks to become directly involved with humanitarian work and bringing positive change to the lives of children in under-resourced communities around the world. JustWorld works with carefully chosen global partner organizations to address the learning gaps these children face and provides them with access to educational, nutritional, and medical resources to support their long-term success.
JustWorld and JLR Long Island are looking forward to continuing to work together and grow their inaugural partnership to offer vulnerable children around the world an opportunity to succeed and help break the cycle of poverty.
