Swiss Watchmaker Longines Has Provided 240,000 Meals to JustWorld’s Programs

Since the beginning of JustWorld’s partnership with the Swiss watch brand Longines six years ago, Longines’ contributions have helped specifically fund JustWorld’s nutrition programs. JustWorld seeks to support education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and cultural development programs for children in areas of greatest need. The organization works closely with select grassroots, community-based partners to implement and develop programs to ultimate self-sustainability. Because it is well-documented that hungry children cannot learn, JustWorld ensures that vital nutrition is incorporated into daily programming at the JustWorld projects.The Swiss watch brand takes pride in its long tradition of supporting charity causes. It was thus natural for Longines to give support to JustWorld International. This partnership has not only allowed JustWorld to reach new heights for its programs, but also put the organization at the forefront of some of the most important and renowned equestrian rendezvous across the globe.Longines created the “Longines Clear the Jump,” where each time a horse and rider clears a Longines obstacle with no faults, the Swiss watch brand provides a sum to JustWorld. The “Longines Clear the Jump” has taken place in venues including La Baule and Paris in France, Falsterbo in Sweden, and most recently in St. Gallen in Switzerland. For instance, during the Longines St. Gallen CSIO, each time a rider and their horse cleared the Longines jump, the equivalent of 200 meals was donated to JustWorld. Longines provided a total of 5,000 meals during the event.This year alone JustWorld is supporting nearly 7,000 children, helping to sustain education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and leadership and cultural development programs they would otherwise not have access to. Thanks to this partnership, Longines has provided more than 240,000 meals to these children. It not only demonstrates the importance of Longines’ commitment to providing vital needs to youth, but also how seriously and sincerely it considers its corporate social responsibility as a company.JustWorld is pleased to announce that the next competitions they will be the beneficiary of will be the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris, taking place during the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping on July 7, 2018, and the Longines Cup FEI CSI**** at The Hampton Classic on September 1, 2018.
