Wellington, FL - January 4, 2013 - When it comes to involving the local community in every aspect of business, the Wellington Whole Foods Market is the epitome of connection and contribution. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Wellington Whole Foods Market has worked with JustWorld International for their annual gala, and every year their commitment to their cause has grown. Opening in November 2008, the Whole Foods Market located on SR-7 in Wellington, FL, is one of the largest stores in the nation. In 2009, founder and president of JustWorld, Jessica Newman, approached Whole Foods Market in Wellington for their sponsorship of centerpieces at their sixth annual gala. Marketing Team Leader Lauren Belinsky reviewed their application, and saw the positive influence of JustWorld in the Wellington community at large. Whole Foods was proud to provide tropical fruit centerpieces for the gala that year, and the following year they took it a step further as they sponsored a cheese and hors d'oeuvres table. When considering non-profit organizations in their yearly budget, Whole Foods Market runs through a list of seven core values. JustWorld International was the perfect fit for their value: Caring About Our Communities and Environments. It was because of their involvement in the local community that a symbiotic relationship grew between the Wellington Whole Foods team and JustWorld. Belinsky explained that each marketing team leader creates a local plan tailored for the non-profit 501 (c)3 organizations within each community. Whole Foods Market gives a minimum of five percent of their profits every year to a wide variety of community and non-profit organizations. Now in their fourth year of partnership with JustWorld, Whole Foods will act as the official food sponsor for the JustWorld International 10th Annual Gala. Everything from the salt and pepper to the protein and vegetables will be donations from Whole Foods Market. A local caterer, Chez Gourmet, will then create and serve all of the dishes with the ingredients Whole Foods provides. In the past, Belinsky has helped to benefit the relationship between Whole Foods and JustWorld through the JustWorld Block Party and participation in the gala. The Block Party featured themed food stations from all of JustWorld's project areas including Central America, Cambodia and Brazil. All proceeds raised during the food tasting were donated to JustWorld, and the JustWorld Ambassadors represented each project with posters of the children helped. Guests were able to enjoy a variety of food and wine for a small donation of five dollars.

Whole Food has also worked closely alongside JustWorld during their "Horseless Horse Shows" to help in providing water and healthy snacks for the children. "We have almost always donated kid-friendly snacks for the Horseless Horse Shows," Belinsky described. "We are always more than happy to help support through healthy food. Healthy food and the connection to children is very important. It is important for everyone to have healthy food, but we really want to start getting young kids' taste buds and pallets used to less processed foods without artificial preservatives and colors." Belinsky concluded, "We are looking forward to helping once again this year; it is a charity dear to Whole Foods Market Wellington's heart. As we see ambassadors and supporters of JustWorld in our stores frequently, it is great to see them. It is also wonderful to see them out in the community and have the back and forth support. We are looking forward to where this relationship will grow in the future." The 10th Annual Gala will begin promptly at 7 pm at Belle Herbe Farm in Grand Prix Village, and is the guaranteed "can't miss" event of the social calendar.
