CAMBODIA
Superstar Mathletes
At People Improvement Organization (PIO) in Phnom, Penh Cambodia, teams of high school students participated in a math competition and put their mental acuity to the test. Students championed a fierce but friendly match, rising to the challenge empowered by their studies. Congratulations to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placing teams! The future minds of Cambodia can be found working hard at PIO.
GUATEMALA
17th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser

It was 17 years ago that project leader Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes planted the seed of El Patojismo by turning the garage of his family home into a classroom and community center. Before long that seed grew into two flourishing schools, and a whole ecosystem of positive change fourished within the community of Jocotenango.
To celebrate that monumental impact, a group of 10th and 11th grade students organized a fundraising anniversary gala with the support of an industry mentor; an expert wedding planner in Antigua. The students crafted and served a full gourmet dinner, preformed for guests, shared art and more on this unforgettable evening at the Center of Opportunities (CDO).

HONDURAS
Literacy and Beyond
In Tegucigalpa, the JustWorld "Education on Wheels" vehicle travels far and wide with Asociatión Compartir to bring the classroom to the most remote regions of Honduras where it is too geographically and economically difficult for children to attend school. Currently hosting class at 10 learning centers, "Education on Wheels" not only puts books in the hands of children, but offers comprehensive art, music and cultural programs. A well-rounded student is a successful student.
UNITED STATES
A Treasure for Belle Glade Teachers
In Belle Glade at Pioneer Park Elementary, JWI's partner project Storybook Treasures employs a proven literacy program which enhances learning by providing a classroom set of books, books for each student to build a home library, and supplemental support materials throughout the school year. Pioneer Park Elementary educators can share firsthand the changes this program has on their students and the positive trajectory of their learning.
