JustWorld’s Philanthropy and Leadership Program Presented by Boehringer Ingelheim, to be Offered to Exceptional Young Athletes at the Youth Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany

Wellington, Florida, USA – Equestrian-based charity and FEI official charity partner JustWorld International will be contributing to the FEI’s Education Program during the FEI Youth Equestrian Games, to be held during the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen in Germany from June 24 to July 3, 2022. JustWorld will specifically be hosting a fun and interactive leadership development program for 30 exceptional young athletes from 30 different countries focused on empowering them to use their sport and the platform it provides to engage in charitable activities and create positive change in their own communities and around the world. Boehringer Ingelheim, a global leader in the animal health industry, is the title sponsor of the program. Additionally, the riders will work together to study and “adopt” one of JustWorld’s projects and provide the funding for a program to change the lives of children in need over the year ahead.

The FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale) is the horse sport’s global governing body and has organized the FEI Youth Equestrian Games to provide a unique opportunity for talented young athletes to experience the elite level of their sport, while also emphasizing the significance and relevance of the Olympic values. These values of excellence, respect and friendship constitute the foundation upon which the Olympic Movement builds its activities to promote sport, culture, and education to build a better world.

Ingmar De Vos, President of the FEI, explained: “Inviting our official charity partner JustWorld International to host the Leadership and Philanthropy seminar and work with the young athletes competing in the FEI Youth Equestrian Games was a natural fit. The FEI’s objective for the Education Program is to impact the lives of the participants beyond the competitive element. Their work with JustWorld will help open their eyes to the needs of other young people around the world, while giving them the tools to make a positive impact by using their platform, network, and status as international athletes. Through JustWorld’s Philanthropy and Leadership Program during the Games, presented by Boehringer Ingelheim, these young athletes will also experience firsthand working together as a team to understand important problems facing society and use their collective wisdom to multiply the impact they can have in building a better world by adopting a JustWorld project.”

Past Philanthropy and Leadership Program experiences have shown how invested young people become in working to improve the lives of children in need, especially as they debate the importance of various programs such as having clean water readily available for students versus the need for new books for children in remote areas of the planet versus providing a nurse or doctor at school to ensure that the students’ bodies are healthy so their minds can learn.
